I’m annais, a vocalist and arts administrator curious about sound, improvisation, collaboration, and arts-based community + kin making. Particularly, I’m interested in how humans can ethically improvise with more-than-human beings amidst conditions of species loneliness.
I recently finished my PhD in Critical Studies in Improvisation at the University of Guelph, focusing my research on more-than-human relationship-building.
I enjoy musical performance, creating soundscapes that attune to alternative ways of being, and supporting creative works through arts administration.
